What’ll I Do (SSAA)

This a cappella arrangement of Irving Berlin’s hauntingly beautiful ballad “What’ll I Do” challenges SSAA singers with sensitive unisons, moments of two-, three-, and four-part harmony with strong voice leading, and delivery of a poignant lyric. Rubato sections throughout provide the opportunity to teach flexible ensemble phrasing and there is a short (four measure) soprano solo towards the end. This could function as a quick learn for advanced groups or a more substantial challenge for beginning treble ensembles.
